LUX provides one discovery interface for exploring relationships among objects in Yale University’s museums, libraries, and archives, including books, manuscripts, photographs, artworks, archival materials, and scientific specimens from around the world.
It is useful for historical source discovery, exploratory research, and teaching with primary sources because a single search can connect records that would otherwise be distributed across separate Yale catalogues. LUX is publicly searchable, but not every result is a digitized item: some records describe physical objects or collections, and online availability, copyright, and reuse conditions vary by the linked Yale holding unit.
